Vibration-Controlled Architectural Subwoofer

The cerasonar architect sub has been developed for projects where extended low-frequency performance is required, but conventional invisible subwoofers are not suitable due to vibration-sensitive constructions, limited installation space or demanding architectural requirements.

Unlike traditional architectural subwoofers, the architect sub features a mechanically decoupled enclosure with integrated vibration dampers. This significantly reduces the transmission of structure-borne vibrations into surrounding walls, ceilings and furniture, helping to minimise unwanted rattling and resonance while maintaining precise, controlled bass reproduction.

Its discreet bass outlet, connected to the enclosure via a flexible acoustic duct, allows the subwoofer cabinet to be positioned independently of the visible sound outlet. This provides exceptional installation flexibility while preserving clean architectural lines and an almost completely invisible appearance.

The architect sub has been specifically developed as the ideal low-frequency extension for the cerasonar 4062 architect, creating a remarkably balanced invisible audio solution for ultra-shallow installations. It may also be combined with other cerasonar loudspeakers wherever structure-borne vibrations must be minimised, making it particularly suitable for lightweight metal stud constructions, bespoke furniture, renovation projects and acoustically sensitive environments where conventional invisible subwoofers cannot be used.

The cerasonar factory DSP preset has been specifically developed for the architect sub, optimising system integration, extending low-frequency performance, activating the proprietary Dynamic Bass Enhancement and providing reliable loudspeaker protection.

The cerasonar factory DSP preset is available for the cerasonar cs-500dsp4 DSP amplifier, the cerasonar cs-2000dsp4 DSP amplifier as well as compatible DSP amplifiers from LEA Professional and Powersoft. For the majority of installations, the cs-500dsp4 is the recommended amplifier, while the cs-2000dsp4 offers additional flexibility for larger systems and more complex DSP configurations.
