The MTLB300 is built around a two-part system: the rigid outer cardboard body forms a closed unit housing the clear viewing window, while the inner cardboard tray — fitted with a foam base — slides smoothly in from either side. This design makes it easy to insert and remove models without risk of damage, and allows quick visual identification of stored items through the window without disturbing the contents.

The foam base is manufactured in Germany and is both chlorine-free and acid-free, making it safe for long-term contact with painted and unpainted model surfaces.
